Lol, way to sell Satchitananda.

Yes it might be hell in the descent/ascent but bliss does become permanent when Self is relocated. That neat 'It's all cool, I know where I'm going and what it's all about now' detachment applies as much to big problems as 'Damn it, someone drank the last of the chocolate milk and put the stupid carton back in the fridge.'

Mouravieff described increasing consciousness like a film reel of a mans life, curving ever upwards in spirals. His body isn't reincarnated, nor is his personality, but his consciousness increases with every lifetime and that consciousness is never forgotten.

Yeah, agree. Not really selling Satchitananda, nor the Self, since my view is that of the Buddhadharma, but yeah, eventually all the crap disappears.

I'm sure it's like splitting hairs in the difference between them- so much truth in both. Why did you call your page Thunderbolt?

Have you heard of the Thunderbolts Project? The (plasma) physics they talk about is linked to the Eastern traditions.

I've been a vajrayanist since 2008. I took one of the translations of vajra (thunderbolt) because the idea of sudden realization sometimes hits like lightning. I like the idea of how thunderbolt wisdom reveals many aspects of a clouded sky. I also think wisdom is super energetic life electricity. I have not heard of Thunderbolts project but I will look into it!

It would seem it is the ancient connection to what we are- electrical that is- and the metaphysics of meditation is directly linked to the plasma physics of that group I mentioned- Thunderbolts Project.

Guénon pointed it out in 'Man and His Becoming According to the Vedanta.' I wrote about it in my first blog post (but I'm such a technical munter I misplaced it and it became my third post). I was sunbathing and reading and just as you said, it hit me like a thunderbolt.

I guess that is what we call 'DC' or direct current.

Meditation would then be AC or alternating current. Anyway, it's a good name you called your page. :)
